By now, we have all heard of a dog park and may have even taken our favorite canine to socialize and play at one near our house. This week I came upon a "bird park." I don't think we are to bring the family pet bird to this park, but maybe just wait for the native birds to fly in and enjoy the bird seed and water bath put out for them along with this darling assortment of bird houses.
A spring walk in the evening. After an unusually warm winter, spring might be further along than normal. This was a study in orange-red flowers. Look closely at the last photo. A small hummingbird was captured sipping nectar.
Last fall I sprinkled some seeds I harvested from onions which had gone to seed. I have these wonderful purple onions popping up now that we have had some wonderful rains this winter. They range in size from "spring" onions to mammoth versions like this.
