This summer I have been staggering the bean planting to assure a long growing/harvesting season. This is my current six-pack of beans which are in a planting compost medium.
I always choose to grow pole beans because they are easy to harvest and the vertical growth takes up less precious garden space. Once these seedlings are well established with several good sized leaves, I will transplant them into the garden.
