A spring walk in the evening. After an unusually warm winter, spring might be further along than normal. This was a study in orange-red flowers. Look closely at the last photo. A small hummingbird was captured sipping nectar.
Enjoying water-wise plants like succulents as they show up in more gardens. With the winter we are experiencing (low rain/high temps), it's easy to see that they are a prudent choice.
Last fall I sprinkled some seeds I harvested from onions which had gone to seed. I have these wonderful purple onions popping up now that we have had some wonderful rains this winter. They range in size from "spring" onions to mammoth versions like this.
