Dill Delights Bee

So happy to see the garden dill plant has provided this bee a place to gather pollen and nectar.

Dill-y of a Plant

This beautiful flower is blooming on my volunteer dill plant.  Smells so wonderful when you walk by this plant and is lovely to look at, too.

Apparently, the dill flower is a homing beacon for the tomato hornworm, so it will need to be harvested soon.

A Dilly of a Plant

Flowering Dill
You have got to love Mother Nature.  No one makes color choices as brilliantly as she.  Just look at the bright yellow blooms against the deep emerald green (hello Pantone).

This is Dill 2.0.

I planted a bit of dill last summer.  It grew and was enjoyed.  Then it bloomed and set seed.  These seeds replanted themselves and grew over the winter and into the spring.

Now, More flowers...and hopefully seeds which create another wonderful plant for me to enjoy.

Thanks Mother Nature for the beautiful colors and for the robustness of your plants!

Tomato Volunteer and Dill

Volunteers are always appreciated in my garden. This tomato plant is getting an early start for Garden 2009. I planted the dill plant in the fall and it is growing quite well. I love a little dill with green beans or mixed with sour cream and served over cucumbers. Sounds like some of the 2009 garden is already being planned.
