Dill-y of a Plant

This beautiful flower is blooming on my volunteer dill plant.  Smells so wonderful when you walk by this plant and is lovely to look at, too.

Apparently, the dill flower is a homing beacon for the tomato hornworm, so it will need to be harvested soon.

Yarrow Explodes in Large Golden Blooms

The weather has been extremely sunny for the past few days. The vibrant color of the yarrow seems to reflect the intensity of the sun.

Poinsettia Power

In November 2006, I finally took the poinsettia plants displayed for Christmas 2005 out of the house and planted them. They were dropping leaves very rapidly in the house and I didn't think they had a chance to survive. However, after several months in the ground, I was delighted to find the bracts have turned bright red.
