Hello Kitty!

This beautiful cat with his little bell loves to hang around outside my office window.  Sometimes he chases the wildlife (birds, lizards) and I give the window glazing a firm tap to remind him he, like the other wildlife in my yard must play nice.

It's Poppy Time In California

I'm not sure if the extra warm weather has brought these poppies out earlier than usual but I am glad they are blooming. It seems as though every garden patch has a splash of color.

Periwinkle

I remember loving the periwinkle crayon in my box of Crayolas when I was in elementary school. I think the flower which gave the crayon its name is very spectacular as well.

Flowers at the Getty Villa

The Getty Villa in Los Angeles is an educational center and museum dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. A group of my friends and I were able to visit the museum on Friday. The weather was brisk but sunny. The weather made time spent in the garden truly enjoyable.
