Nothing tastes better than a slice of garden tomato topped with a leaf of fresh basil. This robust basil plant should keep me satisfied for the rest of the summer.
Your basil makes my mouth water. This year, I've become fond of red basil. It not only looks good with tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, it tastes good too. And the pests seem to prefer the green and leave the red alone. There's also a new light green basil with smaller leaves that has a light lemon scent. I don't get much from it (it wants to bolt quicker in the heat than the other basils) but what I get is delicious.

Red Basil...lemon basil...sounds very wonderful. I'll be on the look out for it.
It looks so delicious. I have Thai basil and regular sweet basil in my garden right now. Both smell wonderful.
