Dolphins in My Neighborhood

Dolphins on Shore--We love them in the ocean so much we finds way to bring these lovely creatures ashore.

Whimsical dolphin topiary greet visitors to Corona del Mar. (Note--the topiary wore red, white and blue sashes for the Fourth of July!)
Golden dolphin statues glisten in the sun.
Girl in the Curl surf shop uses the dolphin in it's logo.
Clever configuration of rocks create a dolphin's tail.A gentle reminder not to pollute our oceans through the street drains.

Fires in California 2007

We are not part of the fires in California at this time. Sunrise this morning is rather ominous. I took this photo at 7:45 a.m. Usually, the sky would be blue with a bright yellow sun beaming into the house this time of year. Here is how it looks outside right now. I am sure this darkening of the sky is due to the fires in San Diego which is closer than the fires in Northern LA.
