Neglected but sweeter than ever

What is it about a garden?  I had a bed of strawberries last year.  The did so-so.  Over the winter, the majority of the plants when to the great beyond.  A small clump hunkered down.  With the drought took a stance of if the drip system is providing you enough, great; but I won't be providing more this year.

Well, I was taking kitchen greens to the composter this morning and found all of these berries hanging out under the strawberry leaves.

Can't wait to eat!
