My husband has gone crazy for the jacaranda trees this year. They have been here every other year, but this is the first year he has noticed them. They do seem to be blooming in abundance. These are photos are two trees near our house. It doesn't really show how stunning they are in person.

Yes, I love those...we have these all over my city (Pomona). At leawst I think they're Jacaranda. They look so nice against the sky and mountain backdrop. There are at least a couple dozen of them downtown...they look so cool. I should take a picture of them. It's weird, I just noticed these for the first time too in bloom, I noticed them as a kid but then I guess I just didn't care enough to notice up until now.
