Neglected but sweeter than ever
What is it about a garden? I had a bed of strawberries last year.
The did so-so. Over the winter, the majority of the plants when to the
great beyond. A small clump hunkered down. With the drought took a
stance of if the drip system is providing you enough, great; but I won't
be providing more this year.
Well, I was taking kitchen greens to the composter this morning and found all of these berries hanging out under the strawberry leaves.
Can't wait to eat!

Still Not Sure What I am Growing...
Very exciting. The unknown squash plant has taken over its corner of the garden. Finally, the female flower began to bloom and a few have set. Right now I think I might have a butternut squash plant on my hand. Most of the fruit is still quite round, but one seems to have grown to a size where you can imagine the shape of butternut squash. I gave the plant a tablespoon of John and Bob's soil optimizer to improve the soil and give the plant nutrients.

Pods of Seeds
This onion bloom is getting ready to provide me with onions in the next garden season. The greenish pods will continue to dry out eventually popping open to reveal seeds. Previously when this happened, the seeds scattered through the garden and became seedlings. I have so many purple onions that I hope the same thing happens with this yellow onion bloom. I could use a little variety.
