The Legend of the Palm Trees

This posting has been modified to reflect the information received from a reader of my blog that the information was not accurate.

The new posting shall simply state that there is a hill in our city which has an interesting history. It is quite a landmark since their are a number of palm trees planted on the top. Because the of elevation, the trees can be seen for numerous locations.

Thank you kind reader for providing the additional information. This blog would never want to misrepresent anyone or cause anyone bad feelings.

Where there is a will, there is a way. Here the council would have cut them down anyway if you did not get planning permission. They are mean spirited like that.

My friend told me today the hill is nicknamed "Porcupine Hill"!

I'm going to try anyother vantage point so you can get the full effect of all of the trees. So many of the perfect views are from the freeways. Not a great place for taking photos! If I can, I will post later.

I guess I missed the story. It appears to be Censored by an unnamed reader. I found this blog while searching for the story of these obviously man-planted palms.
