Currently, we have four sweet gum trees in the front of the house. We had five but during the Santa Ana winds two years ago, one tree snapped. It had to be removed.
During the summer, our trees are loaded with the green, immature seedballs. These seedballs will brown and open to release individual seeds as we progress into fall.

My wife and I are looking for sweetgum seed pods to use in a Christmas decoration wreath. Any suggestions where we might find some "ground-dropped" seedB's?

Let me look around my trees. :) Maybe there are some on the ground.
