Sago Palm

One of the advantages of gardening in California is the wide variety of plants which thrive here. Tropicals do very well in zone 23. You'll find palm trees growing next to conifers next to gum trees next to...well you get the picture. This sago palm is obviously very happy because it has produced a flower to be pollinated. Unfortunately, there is not a male plant nearby.

Lovely! It must be an adventure gardening with such a wide variety of plants. I'd go pleasantly crazy.

It is a gardening adventure... Essentially anyone can have a green thumb in Orange County! And we have some great nurseries to keep us up to our eyeballs in plants!
