Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach has installed a lovely kitchen garden.  The five raised beds are visually stunning and provide guests the perfect place to sit and admire the ocean and the garden.  The beds contain herbs, tomatoes, peas.  The perimeter of the garden provide growing space for citrus trees, berries, potatoes, zucchini.  Fuji apple trees are espaliered against the wall.  The walls surrounding two sides of the garden absorb warmth from the sun and reflect it back to the fruit trees.  This is very helpful at a location so close to the cool pacific ocean.
